State the sales and stock stage
Distinguish pre-orders, units awaiting production and available stock. Match the description to what the team can deliver. If early backer shipments are still being handled, vague store wording should not imply immediate dispatch for new buyers. Explain versions, timing and limits before the customer decides.
Rebuild the product information
A campaign page may focus on development and milestones. A product page needs easy access to specifications, included parts, use conditions and service information. Turn demos, instructions and common questions into material you can maintain. Remove expired early-bird counts, timers and reward bundles instead of carrying them into the new store.
Check asset and data permissions
Later use of campaign films, creator footage and testimonials must fit the original agreements and applicable requirements. A move to a new site does not automatically expand email consent. Review rights, unsubscribe handling and data access before planning long-term contact. Migration is not a reason for unlimited reuse.
Separate order and backer support routes
Store orders and earlier pledges may use different workflows. Give each a clear support route. If someone asks about an old reward’s shipment, the team must know which system and owner can help. Make existing relationships work reliably before treating more sales channels as evidence that the business is ready.
Put this into practice
- Confirm stock stage and delivery capability for the store.
- Replace expired campaign offers with durable product information.
- Check asset rights, user consent and support ownership.
